The carrying out the mission of Adult Resources Center, Inc. is the responsibility of its volunteer officers and directors. These dedicated individuals contribute time and energy to insure that the work of the founding parents will always continue.

OFFICERS

President: Jaimie Blackman

Jaimie Blackman was born with music in his soul and entrepreneurship in his heart.

As president and founding partner of BH Wealth Management, (His wife Iris Hershenson is his co-founder) Jaimie applies his artistry to the financial profession by helping clients find their financial voice. As a financial columnist, his monthly column connects with thousands of business owners each month
He shares his wealth management instruments by providing strategic direction and education to the ARC with a special focus on ARC’s employment retirement program, and Arts@ARC, a program Jaimie designed to help increase community engagement and community awareness for the unique talent of each of our clients.

Executive Vice President: Dr. Rebecca Riley

Dr. Rebecca Riley is an artist who recently retired from her position as President of Lone Star College-Montgomery in The Woodlands, TX.  She holds a bachelor and master’s degree in fine arts from Texas Tech University.  Dr. Riley earned her doctoral degree from Sam Houston State University in Higher Education Leadership.  Her research interests include intercultural competence, cognitive development, and student engagement. Dr. Riley’s exhibition record as an artist includes more than 200 regional, national and international shows.  She has worked as a collaborative musician in orchestral and sacred settings as a pianist and organist.

Dr. Riley has served on many committees, boards, and task forces, including The Woodlands Chamber Executive Leadership group, Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber, Greater Conroe Economic Development Partnership, regional P-16 council, Humble Area Assistance Ministries, SHSU Advisory Board for Higher Education Leadership, Education for Tomorrow Alliance, Alliance for New Americans, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Community Leaders Council, HCA Conroe Hospital Board of Directors, the Conroe-Lake Conroe Chamber, Texas Association of Schools of Art, and Texas Completes.

At Lone Star College-Montgomery, Dr. Riley focused on improving student success and completion, diversity in the faculty and staff ranks, developing flagship programs such as lifePATH and aviation, and building community partnerships and resources for the college.

On a personal note, Dr. Riley loves the outdoors, is a painter, an avid reader and fitness enthusiast. She enjoys travel, having spent time in Mexico, South America, Europe, and India.

Executive Vice President: Angela Villanella

Angela Villanella is a NYS Certified Social Worker with over 35 years of experience with the last 20 years in the field of geriatrics. She is a practicing psychotherapist for adults and couples. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She sits on the board of several not for profit organizations and is the former President of Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn. She’s committed to making sure that developmentally challenged adults live very fulfilling and safe lives under the supervision of warm, caring, and devoted staff.

Treasurer: Jacob Medrano

Jacob Medrano earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Management from the University of Houston. Jacob has experience in both federal banking oversight and commercial banking, and currently works as a Credit Analyst at PlainsCapital Bank in Houston, Texas. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys weightlifting, traveling, and spending time with friends.

DIRECTORS:

Bob Rubin, Construction Disputes: Avoidance / Resolution

Bob Rubin is widely regarded for his five decades’ experience in complex construction disputes avoidance and resolution. Bob is an early pioneer in the use of dispute boards and has served on, and chaired, numerous such boards. He is Adjunct Professor, Columbia University, faculties of Law and Civil Engineering, where he teaches an interdisciplinary course on construction industry law. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York.  Bob is Past President of the American College of Construction Lawyers; Past President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation; a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators; and a member of the National Academy of Construction.  He is a member of the AAA Construction Mega Project Arbitrator and Master Mediator Panels. Bob received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.

Maxine Cohen – Board Member/Incident Management Committee

NYC Department  of Education Teacher

       Taught twenty years in the Curtis High School Nursing Department.  Their Practical Nursing (PN) Program prepares students to sit for the NYS  PN Licensing Exam and to enter the workforce directly out of HS.

Rutgers University Faculty Member 

       Full-time Instructor in the Nursing Department preparing  students to become Registered Nurses.

Visiting Nurse Association of Brooklyn

       Assistant Supervisor of the Brooklyn South Office overseeing  the caseload and work of several RNs.
